Less is more . . .
Here’s an interesting article. I concur that less is more in fiction and poetry. What a writer leaves out is just as, if not more, important than what is written. We also see the important role of the editor here.
My collection of short stories (I like to call them fragments) would not be the book it ostensibly is without the editorial guidance and expertise of Andrew Gallix who painstakingly edited the manuscript. It baffles me that many writers constantly choose to clog up their own prose with extraneous writing.
More lessness please . . .
