Whilst I was typing up my review of Jean-Philippe Toussaint's 'Camera' for the TLS onto my laptop I momentarily looked out of our living room window. Outside, arched directly opposite, was the biggest rainbow I have ever seen. I immediately stopped typing and grabbed my camera. I took a few photos from our living room window and then ran upstairs to our bedroom window and took a couple from there too. I don't think my Vivitar 7310 7.0 mega pixels digital camera picked up just how gargantuan and colourful it actually was:
""A story assembled from everyday objects, unassumingly and quietly, that stuns and horrifies by increments...The Canal may look, at first glance, like a love story, but it harnesses the power of parable." John Wray, author of Lowboy.
